Universal VRF HVAC Integration Gateway (Up to 32 Indoor Units)
2,450 € – 2,915 €
Cool Master by CoolAutomation is a universal adapter for integrating VRF/VRV air conditioning systems with smart home and building management systems. It creates a bi-directional communication bridge between your VRF HVAC equipment and any home automation or BMS platform, enabling unified control and monitoring of all indoor units on site. This plug-and-play device is tailored for residential and light-commercial projects, offering a simple solution to connect up to 32 indoor units through a single gateway. Designed with automation integrators and facility managers in mind, CoolMaster eliminates the need for separate manufacturer-specific gateways – one device supports all major VRF brands. It provides remote access and centralized HVAC management from anywhere, making it ideal for high-end homes, luxury villas, and small to medium commercial buildings looking to add smart climate control.
Key Features & Benefits
Supports up to 32 Indoor Units: Control and monitor dozens of VRF indoor units with one CoolMaster device. This capacity (max 32 IDUs per adapter) is ideal for covering an entire large residence or a small office building with a single integration point, ensuring centralized oversight of all HVAC zones.
Universal VRF Compatibility: Connects seamlessly with all leading VRF/VRV HVAC brands – including Daikin, Mitsubishi Electric, Toshiba, LG, Samsung, Fujitsu, and many more. You no longer need different interface modules for each AC manufacturer; CoolMaster provides a unified interface to them all, simplifying projects that involve equipment from multiple brands.
Multi-System Integration: One CoolMaster can integrate multiple VRF systems or lines simultaneously, even if they are different brands or on separate communication loops. This means you can monitor and control several VRF outdoor units and all their indoors through one gateway. It significantly simplifies complex installations (for example, a building with two VRF systems of different brands).
Home Automation Ready: Enjoy native, out-of-the-box integration with virtually any smart home platform. CoolMaster speaks the language of popular home automation systems (KNX, Crestron, Control4, etc.) without requiring elaborate programming. Simply connect it, and it will automatically be detected by the home automation controller, enabling quick integration of AC controls into your smart home app or touchscreen.
Standard BMS Protocols: The adapter supports open protocols for Building Management Systems, including Modbus RTU/IP and BACnet MSTP/IP, as well as a REST API and ASCII commands. This wide protocol support means CoolMaster can interface with any industrial BMS or PLC, allowing HVAC data and controls to be shared with third-party management systems for centralized building control.
Multiple Connectivity Interfaces: Comes equipped with RS232, RS485, and Ethernet ports, plus an optional KNX interface (model variant), for flexible connection to your control network. Whether you need to integrate via serial connection, IP network, or directly onto a KNX bus, CoolMaster has you covered with built-in hardware interfaces.
Plug & Play Setup with Touchscreen: No special HVAC expertise required to install. Simply mount the CoolMaster and connect it to the VRF communication line(s) using the appropriate wiring, then power it on. The device’s intuitive built-in touch screen guides you through selecting the VRF brand and automatically detects connected indoor units. Within minutes, the system is up and running – a single technician can set it up without complex configuration software. The color touchscreen also serves as a local control panel, giving you at-a-glance status and the ability to send commands to any unit on the network.
Remote Monitoring & Control: Pair the CoolMaster with CoolAutomation’s cloud or use the mobile app to gain remote access to your HVAC system. Via a smartphone or PC, you can monitor temperatures and unit statuses, turn AC units on/off, adjust setpoints, and even get basic diagnostics and error alerts from anywhere. This is perfect for property managers or homeowners who want oversight of their climate systems while off-site.
Configurable I/O for Automation: Includes built-in programmable inputs and outputs that can be customized to your needs. For example, you can utilize a dry-contact “Emergency All-Off” input to shut down all AC units at once, or trigger an external alarm. These I/Os make it easier to integrate the HVAC with other building systems (fire alarms, occupancy sensors, etc.) for smarter automation scenarios.
